From 2007 to 2011, as our own in-house product, we built and maintained a software-as-a-service platform for small- and medium-sized insurance brokers and agents to manage the full lifecycle of their operations: creating and sending proposals to customers, making automated price requests to insurers, registering and managing sold policies, handling renewals, automatically sending installment invoices, reporting, and a lot more.
Twenty-two Estonian insurance brokers were using the platform by 2011, constituting the vast majority of brokers in the market. Having reached the local market’s ceiling, we sold the platform to IIZI Group, who has since renamed the system Insly and spun it off as a successful insurtech company.
